As a human resources professional turned personal image consultant, over the years, I have met countless career-driven women who are brilliant at what they do and yet struggle with confidence, fear, imposter syndrome, and confusion on how to step out of their comfort zones to truly make a statement with their outfits and enhance their professional appearance. They do not want to blend in or hide anymore but show up as their true authentic selves.

This used to be me. A young professional hungry for success, yet I felt invisible working in a male-dominated industry where my thoughts, opinions, and contributions were often dismissed.

I had years of training in leadership, conflict resolution, and negotiation, customer service and sales experience, and two college degrees in Marketing and Human Resources, but I still felt like a fraud coming into the office every morning.

Did I have anything to contribute? Was I showing up the right way to advance my career and reach my fullest potential? Were my ideas and experience as a professional being taken seriously? What impression did they have of me?

It was not until I took ownership of my brand as a professional that things began to change. I realized that I was desperately trying to fit in when in reality, what I had to do was take full ownership of who I was, of my expertise, and show up in a way that felt authentic.

Then I stumbled upon the world of personal styling and image consultancy and realized that this was what I was meant to do.

All along, I had known the important role image plays in how others perceive us, but it was upon completely redoing my personal style that I realized the influence it had on my professional development.

Suddenly, I was being taken more seriously. My opinion was consulted more than ever before. I was heard and seen.

More importantly, I felt like a new version of myself. More confident and capable. My salary tripled/doubled in the span of x years.

Today, working in my dream job as an image consultant, I help professional women discover and harness their personal style, so they show up with confidence and give a powerful presence to their voice.
